She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smithers and Esther Smithers; her husband Arthur "Ronald" Chatten; her brother George Smithers (late Margaret); and her brother-in-law Len Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Dawn Chatten of Tillsonburg, Christopher Chatten (Cathy) of Tillsonburg and Jane Townsend (Robert) of Cultus; her grandchildren, Mark (Emily), Ashleigh (Andrew), Stephanie (Derek), Carol and John; her great grandchildren, Malcolm, Liliana, Ana-Sophia and Archer; and her sister Joan Johnson of England. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the "Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada" would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg, entrusted with all funeral arrangements, with confidence.
