She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E "Happy" Wilson and Violet M Mitts of Frogmore, Ontario.; her stepfather Mailon E Mitts; her husbands, John Vank and Merwood C Smith; her sons, John HC Vank and Gregory S Vank; her granddaughter Tia B Quintana; her siblings, Sheila H McDowell, Joan P Trevor, Douglas NC Wilson, Kenneth R Wilson, Paul B Wilson and Robert F Wilson; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth G Wilson, Louise S Wilson, Magdelena "Leny" Wilson, Margaret E Wilson, Jacqueline J Wilson, Betty J Wilson, Stanley H McDowell and Christopher C Trevor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Della L Tyrrell of Hamilton, Nancy L Thomas of Hamilton and Julia D Vank of Tillsonburg; and her sister-in-law Alice Wilson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ostrander's Funeral Home (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6).
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Canada or Alzheimer's Association and may be done directly with each organization or payable by cheque by contact the Funeral Home.
