With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Stekli (Tillsonburg, Ontario), who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Stekli to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Stekli Jr.; and her parents, Paul Kadar and Ilona Kadar (Hudak). She is survived by: her children, Mary Neville (Larry) of St. Williams, Liz Posthumus (Randy) of Tillsonburg and Steve Stekli (Karrie) of Tillsonburg; and her grandchildren, Jeff Neville (Crystal), Mike Neville (Robyn), Stephanie Nevins (Chris), Cynthia McDougall (Wes), Krista Linker (Derek), Rick Posthumus (Lisa), Jason Posthumus (Kanyanat), Steven Posthumus (Alex) and Tyler Stekli.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial And (262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3R7). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's R. C. Church (51 Venison St W, Tillsonburg, ON N4G1V1). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Delhi District German Home (443 James St, Delhi, ON N4B2B9).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honour Maria's memory by planting something beautiful, sharing a special meal with someone you love, just as she would have done, or contribute memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
