He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Smith and Sheila Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith; his children, Laura Gee (Mike Tracy) and Stephen Smith; his grandchildren, Kendall and Camden Gee; and his siblings, Janis Ford (Bruce), Joanne MacKinnon (Duff) and Patrick Smith (Michaela). He is also survived by friends and family.
