She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen Kovacs; her siblings, Edward Bertleff and Ann Verrell; and her parents, John Bertleff and Maria Bertleff.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Ethelston (Doug) of Benmiller and Stephanie Kovacs of Tillsonburg; her grandchildren, Enissa Falconer (Andy) and Tasha Verhoeve (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Trent Falconer and Daryn Verhoeve. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
