With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Desire Van Hove of Tillsonburg, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard Desire Van left this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Camiel Hove and Marie Van Hove (Van Dam); his siblings, Elsie Godelie (Hector), Julien Van Hove (Mariette) and Juliette DeWannemaker (Roger); and his sister-in-law Yvonne Van Hove.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nora Marie Bruder (Barry) of Tillsonburg and Kim Hendrick (Douglas) of Delhi; his grandson Allen Bruder (Pam); his great grandchildren, Matthew and Alison (Mason); his grandson Mark Bruder (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Jack and Kate; his granddaughter Breanna Hendrick-Veres (Jeremy); and his siblings, Lucienne Monsere (Roger) and John Joseph Van Hove (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes - Burial And (262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3R7). A prayer was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Maurice J. Verheove Funeral Homes-Burial and Cremation Services (262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3R7). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's R. C. Church (51 Venison St W, Tillsonburg, ON N4G1V1). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at the Tillsonburg Cemetery (191-193 Simcoe St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G0E1).
