He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hughes; his children, Karlea-Olivia Hughes (Johnny Giesbrecht) of Cultus, Janice Hughes of Tillsonburg and Micheal Hughes of Courtland; his grandchildren, Mickyla Giesbrecht and Colt Hughes; and his pet Bella.
