Ruby Hopkins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Hopkins (Tillsonburg, Ontario), who passed away on April 25, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wilson and Mildred Wilson (Fallowfield); her husband Alvin Hopkins; her mother-in-law Mae Hughes; her brother Lyle Wilson; her siblings-in-law, Charles Hopkins, Howard Avey, Neil Davison, Marion Hopkins and Doris Davison; and her daughter-in-law Sheila Hopkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Hopkins and Robert Hopkins (Barbara); her grandchildren, Jason Hopkins (Margaret), Rebecca Turrill (Paul), Gilliland, Jaret Hopkins (Deidre), John Hopkins and Joel Hopkins (Nicole); her brother Douglas Wilson (Barbara) of Tillsonburg; her siblings-in-law, Hilda Avey and Donald Hopkins; and her friends, James and Mary Jane Pickersgill. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
We are sorry to report that due to the ongoing restrictions resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus there can be no community visitations or funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the MS Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Hopkins family and can be made by contacting Ostrander's Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with arrangements.
