She was predeceased by: her spouse James S. Elliott; her parents, Alfred Bowering and Myrtle Bowering (Wadsworth); and her siblings, Don, Allen, Raymond and Mina Card (Sid).
She is survived by: her children, Susan Olejnik (Peter) of London, Janet Brimer (Bill) of Burlington, Marilyn Woolley (Brian) of Simcoe and Mark Elliott (Cindy) of Tillsonburg; her grandchildren, Michael Olejnik, Catherine Olejnik (Mike), Karen Richards (Sean), Stephen Brimer, Kyle Woolley (Laura), Carrie Woolley (Brett), Shaun Elliott (Heather) and Jamie Elliott (Danielle); her sister Ruth Bell of Brampton; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Bowering of Melbourne and Jean Bowering of Walkerton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations in Shirley's memory are payable by cheque to "St. Paul's United Church, Tillsonburg" or "Maple Manor (Palliative Care Team)" through the funeral home.
