Shirley Mates Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mates (Tillsonburg, Ontario), born in Renfrew, Ontario, who passed away on May 14, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McGregor and Violet McGregor (Wilcox); her son Barry Ian Mates; and her siblings, Allan McGregor (Thelma), Lois (Allan LeBlanc), Jeannie (John Moore) and Gord McGregor.
She is survived by: her sons, Bill Mates (Virginia) of Tillsonburg and Tom Mates (Catherine) of Brighton; her grandchildren, Willie (Christina), Ryan, Michael and Colin; her great grandchild Isabella; and her brother Gary McGregor. She is also survived by her 3 boys with her beloved husband.
Memorial donations to the "Pathfinder Christian Fellowship" would be gratefully acknowledged by the family and can be made through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc., Tillsonburg (519-842-4238), entrusted with all arrangements.
