She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Collins and Marjorie Collins (Greatrex). She is survived by: her stepmother Hazel; her husband John W. Verpaalen; her daughters, Linda Way, Donna (Danny Rintjima) and Shirley Merritt; her stepchildren, Michael Verpaalen (Heather) and Deborah Warrick; and her brother Brian.
Attendees are not required to RSVP to attend the visitation or funeral service. All attendees must wear a face mask and are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines.
Memorial donations can be contributed in Valerie's memory (by cheque) to the "Simcoe and District Humane Society" by via Valerie's online tribute page to the "Oxford County Animal Rescue".
