He was predeceased by: his parent Maurice Laeken; his son David (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Julia and Paul Laplante. He is survived by: his parent Yvonne Van Laeken (Opsommere); his wife Margaret Van Laeken (Van Maele); his daughters, Nancy Van Laeken-Woodward (Christopher) of Vancouver, B. C., Annette, Krupicz, Karen Atkins (Jaye) and Delhi; his brother Gilbert; and his siblings-in-law, Cecilia Van Laeken, Andre Maele and Jean Van Maele. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
