He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Mahoney and Ann Marie Mahoney; his brothers, Gerry Mahoney and Ed MacArthur; and his former wife Shaena Mahoney.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his daughters, Kimberly Herreman (Darryl) and Laura Mesz (Joe); his stepchildren, Julia Avery (Keith), Rick Mahoney (Catrinel) and Pam Belding (Aaron); his grandchildren, Rachel, Cooper, Gavin, Dawson, Jeremy, Greg, Ruxandra, Addison, Audrey, Aiden and Mackenna; his brother Lorne Mahoney (Anne Marie); and his sisters-in-law, Susan Mahoney and Joni MacArthur.
