He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Plante; his grandchild Jean-Francois; and his brother Louis (late Marie-Jeanne). He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Plante; his daughter Linda Belair (Phil Ratté); his stepdaughters, Lise Trudel, Louise Vallieres, Lina Talbot (Rene), Dianne Gravel (Fernand), Sylvie Duciaume (Bob) and Denise Trepanier; his grandchildren, Celina, Nicholas, Julie, Karen, Steve, Christal, Paul, Patrick, Christianne, France, Jonathan, Lise, Bobbie, Michel and Melissa; and his siblings, Dorothy Bolduc (Roy), Gilberte Roy (Curly), Marie-Rose Gosselin (Marcel), Real, Nicole Goulet (Sylvio), Gaetan (Lina), Carmelle Jacobs (late Richard) and Dianne Larabie.
