Barry McCusker Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry McCusker (Timmins, Ontario), who passed away on August 1, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. John McCusker and May McCusker; his parents-in-law, Muriel Wynands (Martin) and Harold Burns; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Jack Burns.

He is survived by : his wife Sheila McCusker; his siblings-in-law, Terry Burns (Georgina), Tommy Burns (Carolyn), Bev Burns and Debbie Kolli; and his nephew Andrew Burns (Caroline).

Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

Dr. David Wright wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Barry McCusker, Someone so special will not be forgotten. I was so very saddened to hear from Sue G. about Barry’s passing. He was truly a wonderful and very hard working & dedicated Board Member and President of NDHN (Northern Diabetes Health Network) and he so wonderfully mentored me when I followed his footsteps, as President. I’ll miss you Barry as I know many Board Members & other NDHN folks will also. May you now rest in peace.”
