He was predeceased by: his brothers, Edgar (Edna) and Donald Portelance (Pierrette); and his parents, Oscar Portelance and Victoria Portelance. He is survived by: his wife Isabelle of Timmins; his children, Lynn Hummel (Rodney) of Timmins, Gilles Portelance (Denise) of Timmins and Brenda Desjardins (Paul) of Timmins; his grandchildren, Matthew, Austin, Christian (Carmela), Brandon, Josée, Danielle, Paul (Sara) and Marc (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Nicholas and Marco.
