He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa Lemieux-Banville; his parents, Camille Banville and Cecile Banville; and his siblings, Claude (Clairina) and Yvonne (Gerald).

He is survived by: his children, Lynda Banville (Sylvain Beaumont), Denise Banville (Marc Roy) and Donald Banville (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Andre Banville (Katrine Castonguay), Vicky Shedler (Cameron Perkins), Stephen Shedler (Candice English), Daniel Banville, Stephanie Banville (Andre Beaudoin), Pepere, Laya, Melodie, Theo and Alexander; and his caregivers, Dr. Rachelle Maisonneuve and Fern.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
