He was predeceased by: his wife Rita O'Connor (Caron); his parents, Courtney O'Connor and Angélina Audet; and his brothers, Redmond, Gordon and Edward.

He is survived by: his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Renelle (Mineault); his granddaughters, Mélissa (Alain), Vanessa (Peter) and Jenna (Eric); his great grandchildren, Maya, Félix Gagnon and Sophie Renelle Daam; his nephews, Michael O'Connor (Sudbury), Ed Christianson (Sudbury) and Pierre Larin; his niece Denise Larin (Montréal); and his cousin Colette Soulière (Kanata).
