He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Slattery and Mary Slattery; his sister Kathren Slattery; his parents-in-law, Nello and Vivian Tonelli; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce St. Cartier and Gary Tonelli.

He is survived by: his wife Judi Slattery; his children, Jason Slattery (Katie MacDonald), Kari Slattery and Joey Slattery (Jenn); his grandchild Aine Fazzoli; his sisters, Lorna Del Guidice (Roger) and Joan Dole (late Tom); and his siblings-in-law, Gina Tonelli and Ray St. Cartier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
