He was predeceased by: his wife Lorna Mavec; his parents, Joseph Mavec and Albina Mavec; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Mavec (Kate), Erin Mavec (Keith) and Amy Corbiere (Travis); his grandchildren, Henry, Charlie, Cora, Leo, Lux and Ollie; his sister Bini Haddow (late Don); and his nephews, Andy (Monica) and Greg. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, friends and former coworkers.
