She was predeceased by : her husband Matti Kangas; her daughter Marita Kangas; her parents, Arvo Karen and Mary Karen; and her brother Walter Karen.
She is survived by : her children, Anne Spehar (Miro), Paul Kangas (Peggy), Peter Kangas (Nancy) and Kathy Rideout (Peter); her grandchildren, Raili Barabas (John), Mikka Spehar (Danielle), Ivo Spehar (Krista), Kayleigh Rideout (Michael) and Samuel Rideout; and her great grandchildren, Rhylan, Corah and Jasper.
