He was predeceased by: his wife Rose-May Savard; and his siblings, Laurent, Réal Savard, Irene Mathieu, Yvette Brisson, Pauline Joron and Simone Mathieu.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Savard-Fortin (Martial), Marie-Anne Gemme (René), Ronald Savard (Carole) and Joanne Newbatt (late Ivan); his grandchildren, Diane, Luc, Eric, Nicole (Rick), Denis, Julie, Richard and Lianne; his great grandchildren, Tiffany, Keagan, Chase, Faith, Dakota, Sierra, Alexia, Zachary, Austin, Gary, Courtney and Brandon; and his siblings, Armand Savard (Claudette), Aimé Savard (Colette), Rollande Vien (Paul), Ernest Savard (late Claudette), Laurette Groulx (late Ronald), Léa Melanson (late Marcel) and Hélène Joron (Philippe).
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Paix Church (288 Commercial Ave, Timmins, ON P4N2E2). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
