As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shaye may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Melanie Wasakimik; and his grandparents, Bessie, Samual Kanakeesic and Jean Christina McWhinnie. He is survived by: his father Jim McWhinnie; his pet Lady; and his close friend Draven Desjardins. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maison Funéraire Lessard Funeral and Cremation Centre Inc. (21 Elm St S, Timmins, ON P4N1W4). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Maison Funéraire Lessard Funeral Chapel Address (21 Elm St S, Timmins, ON P4N1W4).
