He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Danis (Sonny) and Ida Danis; his brother Jean-Marc Danis; his parents-in-law, Lucien and Mathilda Fortier; and his brother-in-law François Fortier.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Danis; his children, Renée-France Danis (George Alexander), Natalie Danis (Jean Pinard) and Stéfan Danis (Shawna Pettyjohn); his grandchildren, Dimitry, Danya-Rose, Ivy Lynn and Sunshine; his sisters, Suzanne Tremblay (Denys), Kathleen Danis and Nicole McMahon (Kevin); and his siblings-in-law, Gail Danis, Henriette Rondeau (Roger), Louise Hébert, Léon Fortier (Pierrette), Mireille Martin (Iian) and Denise Fortier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
