He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Swain and Marie Swain. He is survived by: his wife Karin Swain; his stepchildren, Sara Ness (Dan Bourque) of Calgary and Matthew Ness of Calgary; his grandchildren, Rowan and Sylvie Ness-Bourque; his siblings, Tim "Walter" Swain (Maureen) and Susan Cotton (Jerry); his sisters-in-law, Rosie Onucki (late Dean) and Heidi Budzey (Claude Bisson); and his close friend Ted Jakubiak. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
