Velma Hendry Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 94, Velma Hendry (Tiverton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth; her children, John Hendry and Sandra Hendry; her siblings, Marjorie Shewfelt (Burton), Grace Macpherson (Bruce) and Sherman Ferris; her in-laws, George Hendry, Laura Jean Hendry and Peter McKague; and her parents, John Ferris and Abbie Ferris.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Poppe (Rick) of London, Steven (Anne) of Tiverton and Lloyd (Donna) of Inverhuron; her grandchildren, Kurt (Rebecca), Claire, Deanne (Dan), David (Yan), Joel (Melissa), Kristen (Caleb), Amber (Jason), Michele (Ashley) and Rebecca (Mark); and her sister-in-law Margaret McKague (Pat Hendry).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, or Huron Shores Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
