She was predeceased by: her parents, George Aziz and Jane Aziz. She is survived by: her sister Georgette; her husband Norman Shamie; her children, Stephen (Sheena MacAskill), Suzanne (Richard Goode) and Catherine; her grandchildren, Jane, Jennifer, Alison, Andrew and Elizabeth; her great grandchildren, William, Emily, Jack and Julia; and her caregivers, Rose and Sam.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles-Newbigging Chapel (1403 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4S2N4).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gardiner Museum or to a preferred charity of choice.
