With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aldana Elizabeth Dietl (Toronto, Ontario), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 19, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard McCurdy and Virginia Clark McCurdy; her husband Werner Sr.; and her brother John. She is survived by: her brother Richard (Barbara); her son Werner Jr. (Sarah); her nieces and nephews, John, Glen, Ken, Ainslie and Toni; and her granddaughters, Josie, Maren and Anabelle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dana's memory.
