He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawes and Lethe Clarke; and his sisters, Cyrene Pettigrew, Roma Lynch, Indiana Lawes and Princess Lawes.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Lawes; his sons, Troy Birch and Matthew Lawes; his daughter-in-law Jacqueline Birch; his grandsons, Anthony Birch, Jayden Birch, Daniel Birch and Isaiah Birch; his granddaughter-in-law Brittani Birch; his great grandchildren, Eden, Ebony and Elise; his sisters, Adline Lawes, Claudette Lawes-Telpha and Daphne Lawes-Thompson; and his sister-in-law Monica Lawes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Miracle Temple Ministries (7 Sheffield St, Toronto, ON M6M3E5). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
