He was predeceased by: his parents, Ioannis Papaioannou and Maria (Bouhoris). He is survived by: his spouse Katerina (Mrakas); his children, Maria (David Duic), Chrisoula (Paul Van Oirschot), Isabella and Lukas; his siblings-in-law, Eleni (Babanaras) and Sotirios Mrakas (Julie); and his nephew Anthony.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Centre (50 Overlea Blvd, Toronto, ON M4H1B6). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church (1385 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON M1R2S3). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
