She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maude Roots and Cecil Roots; her siblings, Celia Broom (Ian) and David (Gillian); her siblings' children, Rosamund Shulver (David) of Richmond Hill, ON, Abigail Barham (Jonathan), Sydney Australia, Jonathan Ampthill (Elizabeth) of Bedfordshire, UK, Christopher Torquay (Catherine) and Devon; her cousin Madeline Kalbach PhD; and also, Barbara Bondar, Bonnie Patterson, Zoey, Christine Yankou, Betsy (Toronto), Mildred and Edward Bondar. She was also cherished by eight great nieces and nephews.

To commemorate Betty's life, her wishes were that donations in lieu of flowers, be made to advance the environmental programs of the Roberta Bondar Foundation.
