Bev Coles Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Bev Coles in Toronto, Ontario, born in Welland, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Bev has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cedric Laxton and Ethel Laxton; her husband Jim; and her sister Eileen. She is survived by: her children, David (Deborah), Randall (Heather), Janice and Martin (Jay). She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral Church of St. George (270 King St E, Kingston, ON K7L3B2).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Bev's name to the Kingston Community Strings' Coles Scholarship Fund for young musicians, administered by the Kingston Symphony Association (kingstonsymphony.ca; 613.546.9729).
