He was predeceased by: his spouse Stamatiki "Mata" Gianakopoulos; his parent Giorgios Gianakopoulos; and his sibling Vasiliki Houpis. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Mantzoris (John), George Gianakopoulos (Cathy Missios) and Anastasia Gianakopoulos (John Varlas); his grandchildren, Victoria Gianakopoulos, Emily Gianakopoulos, Panayiotis, Tina, Michaela Varlas, Kristin Mantzoris and Kate Mantzoris; and his parent Anastasia Gianakopoulos (Mademenos).
