“Message from Nakatani-san, to Drina and family. "What terribly sad news I received exactly on my 85th birthday. On a certain period time of the 1980s and 90's, we chased the same goal of making Toyota the major player in Canada and Brian was one of the key members of this dream chasing team. Indeed, he inspired, motivated and encouraged me all the time to achieve the goal. Since he already departed from this world, we cannot meet any longer, but when I miss him - (Please see part 2)”

Karl Schlicht wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Drina, I am so so sorry for your loss. I worked with Brian at TCI , TMC in Japan and in Europe.. Fall 2024, I was in Toronto visiting briefly and met up with Brian. It was so nice to see his studio and his art passion. I believe Drina, you made me a wonderful cheese toasty- thank you so much. Brian had such a heart, full of humanity. I thought he was winning, and if anyone deserved to, he did. Should you ever want to speak, my heart goes out to you. Take care, Karl Schlicht”
