She was predeceased by : her husband Vincenzo; and her brother Rudolfo. She is survived by : her children, Connie Cacciatore-Prodanic, Joe (Lisa), Frank (Adriana Ormonde-Cacciatore) and Antonino (Svetlana); her brothers, Vince Maio (Rita) and Mario Maio (Maria); and her sister-in-law Rita Fato-Maio.

The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 6th at 11:00am at St. Nicholas of Bari Catholic Church, 1277 St. Clair Ave. W. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W. As per Carmela Cacciatore's last wishes to not have flowers for her services, she wished for donations. In Lieu of Flowers. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

“Carmela or,Antonietta, as I have always called her,was my one of my second cousins. I have many memories of her when we were both still living in San Fili, Italy, before we emigrated to America. She was a kind woman that devoted her life to the care of her three brothers while their parents were busy working. I will always remember her genuine laughter. Our heart felt condolences to her family. May she rest in peace. Nuccia and family”
