She was predeceased by: her parents, Felice Palermo and Sebastiana Palermo. She is survived by: her husband Giuseppe; her grandchildren, Laura (Fernando), Amedeo (Adrian), Anthony, Joseph (Nancy) and Samantha (Daniel); and her brothers, Vito (Carla), Salvatore (Maria), Pasquale (Maria) and Paolo (Giacoma).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caterina's honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to SickKids Foundation.
