He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Backle and Jeanne Bain. He is survived by: his sister Jennifer Berthelot (Backle); his brother-in-law Shawn Berthelot; his siblings, Edward Backle and Vera Papsidero (Steen); his daughters, Carli Backle, Kristen Backle and Cathy Lauzon; his granddaughter Zayleighia Foster-Rioux; his son Alex Backle; his siblings' children, Kehlieb, Blair, Christopher, Brent, Pharrah and Kassey; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy and Mirian Tippeneskum. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
