It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cornel Petre (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on January 4, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Petre and Rosalie Petre; his wife Diana; his son Matthew C. Petre (Kristi); his grandsons, Kaleb and Kolby; his father-in-law Mike Merdzan (late Stephanie); his brother-in-law Stephen (late Brenda); and his niece Carolyne.
Due to the current Pandemic Lockdown restrictions, a private family graveside service; Interment and Comital (Rev. Pastor Eric Mah Presiding) will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby, Saturday, January 9, 2021. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be safely held at a later date post Covid.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be most gratefully appreciated to the Literacy Network of Durham Region (LiNDR), Arthritis Society of Durham Region, and or St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Oshawa.
