She was predeceased by : her siblings, Kamala Bata (Somnath), Ramola Islam (Said), Sarla, Victor and Rajender Desai; her niece Naheed Akbar; and her husband Maxwell C. Roy (Montreal).

She is survived by : her sons, Sunil Kumar [Bob] Roy (late Ruvinee), Henry (Purificacion) and Derrick Philip Roy; her grandchildren, Brandon Roy (Tracey), Omar Roy (Sarah), Tara Roy and Philip Lesperance; her great grandchild Sophie; her nieces, Nasreen Islam (Najmul) and Jasmin Smith (Peter); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zara, Seher, Samir and Alexi.

Family members were unable to visit her in her last moments because of COVID restrictions.
