As Donato departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Donato. Though Donato may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa; his children, Peter (Pina), Grace (Massimo) and Teresa (Maurizio); his grandchildren, Diana (Matthew) and Donato (Giulia); and his pet Marley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6B3S9). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict's Church (2194 Kipling Ave, Toronto, ON M9W4K9). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W5T1).
In Donato's memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Alzheimer Society—two causes close to the family's heart.
