He was predeceased by: his wife Nuala; his son Noah (John); and his parents, Maurice Cowan and Anne Cowan. He is survived by: his brother Walter; his stepsons, Tim FitzGerald (Sandi) and Brian FitzGerald (Diane); and his grandchildren, Zoe (Julian), Julie (Jason), Meagan, Brendan and Garrett.
