We announce the death of Ekaterini Nikolakakis (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 82. Ekaterini will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Ekaterini will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Ekaterini will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Ekaterini’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Andreas; her children, George and Helen (Joe); and her grandchildren, Iolanda (Simon), Katherine (Rory) and Zachary.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral (136 Sorauren Ave, Toronto, ON M6R2E4). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mardi Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a cash box will be available at the service for donations to be directed toward The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral and a children's charity, in loving memory of Ekaterini's lifelong dedication to bringing happiness to others.
