It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily Rubashewsky in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Emily departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Emily. Though Emily may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Nick; and her children, Bohodar, Babcha and Mykola.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turner & Porter - Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church (135 La Rose Ave, Etobicoke, ON M9P1A6). A burial will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M4H9).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emily's memory to St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church or the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.
