He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Cappiello and Giuseppe Cappiello; and his siblings, Luigi (Catarina), Michele (Antonietta) and Alfonso (Maria).

He is survived by: his wife Luigina; his daughters, Marie Altomare (Mimmo), Anna Maria (Adam), Franca (Tony) and Rita (Enzo); his grandchildren, Daniella (Matthew), Anthony, Daniel, Stefania, Lucas, Sierra and Julian; and his siblings, Antonio (Pina), Maria (late Rocco), Paolo (Lucia), Assunta (Giuseppe) and Rachela (Alfonso).
