He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Anne Blain; his siblings, Violet, Joy (Brownie) and Herb; and his parents, Thomas Blain and Ethel Blain.

He is survived by: his children, Nanci Womersley (John), Peter (Debbie) and John (Melody); his grandchildren, Laura (Antoine), Denise (Nick), Andrew, Thomas, Russell and Charlotte; his sibling Pat Robson (Van); and his sibling-in-law Pat Blain.

Donations may be made in Fred's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the charity of your choice.
