Frosso Kavaratzis Obituary
Frosso Kavaratzis fell asleep in the Lord's presence peacefully on January 27, 2025. Frosso was born in the village of Karya, Larissa - Elassona near Mount Olympus Greece.
Frosso left us to join her beloved brother Athanasios Chamos, and her two sisters Effie (Kavaratzis) and Coula (Hatzitolios) in eternal life.
Frosso leaves behind her beloved children Dennis (Cathy) Kavaratzis, and John (Jeannie) Kavaratzis; and her (Yiayia's) six beloved grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Braden, Christy, Adriana, Eleni; and great-grandchildren, Demitri and Callie. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters Eleni (John Di Trani) and Youla (Tolias).
She was a dedicated single mother, unconditionally caring for and sacrificing many things for her children.
Frosso's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her homemade Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes) and Meatballs (Keftedes) were legendary. Frosso had a profound love for her roots in Greece, which she visited almost every summer.
Frosso will be dearly missed by family and many friends here in Toronto, as well as Greece and Australia.
She enjoyed working as a cashier in the cafetaria at Riverdale Hospital (now Bridgepoint).
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Palliative Care team at Temmy Latner (Mount Sinai Hospital), Toronto Central LHIN (home care) & Michael Garron Hospital G5 unit staff for their exceptional care and to our family and friends for their unwavering support.
Rest in Peace. May your memory be eternal. Thank you for all your love, kindness and tender care. Until we meet again Mom.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)
