He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Michael (Christina) and Nancy Malinowski (Bernie); his grandchildren, Dan (Marina), Kevin, Stephen (Janice), Megan (David), Sean, David (Elia) and Jude (Alison); and his great grandchildren, Kane, Tegan, William and Grace.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel (3280 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T3K3). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.

Donations in George's honour may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
