George Mittas Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Mittas (Toronto, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Maria; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Keyana and Athena; and his siblings, Aris, Tellys, Patricia, Dina and Voula.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church (1385 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON M1R2S3). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
