He is survived by: his wife Laura; and his children, Tony (Teresa) and Anna Maria (Michael). He is also survived by brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Giacomo's name to Parkinson Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
