It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Giovanni Aprile (Toronto, Ontario), born in Pozzallo, Ragusa, Sicily, Italy on June 5, 1934 who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Carmelo and Marianna (nee Colombo) and his siblings Antonietta (Giuseppe Abate), Felice (Concettina), Palma (Giovanni Giacchi), Grazietta (Calogero Lauretta), Angela (Giovanni Rosa), Nicola, Corrado (Maria), Antonio (Maria), and Giorgio (Marianna).
Left with fond memories are his wife Carmela (nee Abate) and children Carmelo (Pierina Racioppo), Giuseppe, Maria, Rosanna (Barry White), Elisabetta Albanese all of Toronto; grandchildren: Stephen, Vanessa (Michael Welfle), Giovanni (Emily Ricketts), Leeza (Jakub Malik), Francesco Albanese and great grandchild Jakob Antonio Welfle; extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10th 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, Ontario M1K1R1). Due to COVID, a limited persons memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 10th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. The Interment will be held on Tuesday, August 10th 2021 approximately 3:15 PM at the same location.

È con grande tristezza che annunciamo la morte di Giovanni Aprile nato a Pozzallo, Ragusa, Sicilia, Italia il 5 giugno 1934, morto il 4 agosto 2021 a Toronto, Ontario, all'età di 87 anni.
In precedenza deceduti sono i suoi genitori Carmelo e Marianna (nata Colombo) e i fratelli e sorelle Antonietta (Giuseppe Abate), Felice (Concettina), Palma (Giovanni Giacchi), Grazietta (Calogero Lauretta), Angela (Giovanni Rosa), Nicola, Corrado (Maria), Antonio (Maria), and Giorgio (Marianna).
Rimangono con bei ricordi la moglie Carmela (nata Abate) ei figli Carmelo (Pierina Racioppo), Giuseppe, Maria, Rosanna (Barry White), Elisabetta Albanese tutti di Toronto; nipoti: Stephen, Vanessa (Michael Welfle), Giovanni (Emily Ricketts), Leeza (Jakub Malik), Francesco Albanese e il pronipote Jakob Antonio Welfle; famiglia allargata e amici.

La proiezione si terrà martedì 10 agosto 2021 dalle 13:00 alle 14:00 presso il Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, Ontario M1K1R1). A causa del COVID, martedì 10 agosto 2021 dalle 14:00 alle 15:00 nello stesso luogo si terrà una cerimonia commemorativa per persone limitate. L'inumazione si terrà martedì 10 agosto 2021 verso le 15:15 nello stesso luogo.
